Marissa Brodhacker

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." ~Nelson Mandela

My name is Marissa Brodhacker. I have been the 5th grade ELA teacher here at WYSOE for two years with five years of teaching experience. I currently hold an AA of Humanities from Oklahoma City Community College, a BA of English from Maryville University, and a MAT in Middle Grades English from Relay Graduate School of Education. When I'm not at WYSOE, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys. We like playing outside, watching movies, and going on family adventures. We really enjoy trying new foods and having new experiences.

I have lots of experience with lots of different age groups. I worked at a daycare while I worked through undergrad, working with children aged from newborn to 12 years old. I have also worked with high school aged students as well as students with special needs aged from 3 to 21. Teaching is all I ever wanted to do, and I love coming to work everyday, even the hard days. My heart is in teaching, and my daily goal is to help students be successful in everything they do!
